Every Thursday evening from 6:00pm - 8:30pm you'll find the shop bubbling over with creativity, laughter, and chit chat about all kinds of fiber arts. Sip & Knit is a pot luck gathering that's always overflowing with treats and tempting refreshments. Feel free to bring something to share, but always make sure you bring a project to work on! This event is free for all ages, and all fiber crafts are welcome.
The next time you get stuck- take a deep breathe. We're here when you need us. Each of us on the NorthCoast Knittery team have the experience to piece through confusing patterns, pick up your dropped stitches, measure your gauge, or help with any other problems that you may experience. When you have some free time, come into the shop and we'll get you back on the right track. If you think you'll need some extra time with us, contact us ahead of your visit and we'll set up an appointment with you.
Don't know how to knit yet? That needs to be fixed. Our beginning knitting lessons consist of three 2 hour lessons, and the price of the class includes your materials. You must sign up in advance. Throughout the course we will guide you through the completion of a simple knit hat, and by the end you'll have the skills and confidence to pick up another project. If you get stuck on something once the classes are finished, you're welcome to come in for project assistance during regular business hours.
After you buy a skein of yarn, hand winding it can be such a drag! We've got a swift and ball winder, and we're happy to wind any of your skeins for you in a jiffy- so you can just get to the fun part. When you're shopping online, let us know in the 'notes' section and we'll turn your skeins into convenient cakes before we ship them your way. However, once a skein is wound we can no longer accept it for an exchange.
