Project Inspiration: Gleniffer
Adelaide is a squishy new worsted weight merino yarn from Classic Elite- and the price, colors, and medium weight makes it an incredibly versatile choice for both larger garments and small accessories.
Adelaide also has excellent stitch definition- which makes it a great choice for the Gleniffer hat. Also, since Adelaide is only $10 a skein- this project will only cost you $16-$26 with the pattern included. (Anyone else thinking "perfect for christmas"?! It may be summer but it's time to start holiday gift knitting!)
Gleniffer is available to download for $6, and it requires 1 - 2 skeins of Adelaide. Purchase the yarn and pattern HERE, or purchase the pattern without the yarn HERE.
Gleniffer's Lace Rib stitch pattern is a unique one- and I love how the lacey arrow design is broken up by the ribbing in the center. I also like how well Gleniffer's crown decreases pairs with the overall pattern. It's a lovely and well-thought-out unisex design!
Gleniffer's pattern says that it's written for sizes Adult XS (S, M) for 15¼ (17¼, 19)” head circumferences. The sample in our photos is in size M, which actually fits my typically-sized-XL head just fine! If my big noggin & huge head of hair can comfortably fit in it, I feel safe with saying that even though the pattern is does not have a size L or XL- the sizes are still generous and will probably fit most.
