Keep Your Eye On The Prizes
Our favorite holiday is almost here! We've celebrated World Wide Knit In Public Day with you all for the past several years, but this will be our first since the shop moved. In previous years we all met in the small courtyard outside the old location, which was always lovely, but WWKIPDay is all about showing the public our talented tribe of fiber artists- and we weren't really achieving that since we were all tucked away out of view. This year we're setting up right in the center of Old Town- around the gazebo on the corner of F street and 2nd street (click HERE to see the spot on google maps). Now there will be no way to miss us! Find us there knitting, eating, and chatting away from 10:00am - 6:00pm on Saturday June 13th.
While our meeting location has changed, everything else is pretty much the same. Of course it's still a potluck- so bring some food or refreshments to share. The food table is always overflowing with an awesome assortment of treats and dishes of every kind for almost every sort of diet. Along with your potluck contribution, bring your hunger, and a project to work on. This event is free for all ages and all types of fiber arts are welcome!
What's your favorite part of World Wide Knit In Public Day? My guess is the prizes. As usual, we have some incredible bundles of goodies to give away during each hour of the day. If you've never joined us for WWKIPDay before, here's how it works: At the top of each hour you have just a few minutes to enter your name into the drawing. Starting at 11:00am and continuing until 6:00pm, we will randomly select winning names out of the drawing. You're allowed to put your name into the drawing for each hour you're there, until you win a prize. You must be present during the drawing to win. This year we will have a bonus Grand Prize, and we think you might be a little excited about it....
So what are the prizes? Here's a little peek to get you pumped up:
